Senior Facilities Manager

Leading National property group seeking a Senior Facilities Manager.

Our client is a major property group and its diverse portfolio includes the development and management of quality retail, commercial and hospitality properties across Australia.

They are now seeking a Senior Facilities Manager to join the team. As the Senior Facilities Manager you will work onsite at a Premium Grade office building in the CBD, ensuring operational functionality of these assets.

Your role will be responsible for providing technical and operational process support for the asset, along with;

  • Managing asset issues and coordinating efficient and effective responses.
  • Managing budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensuring assets are kept to a high standard of presentation.
  • Tendering service contracts as required, making recommendations and obtain relevant approvals to enter into contracts, as directed by the Office Portfolio Manager.
  • Assist to maintain an asset register of all plant and equipment.
  • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Ensuring that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards.
  • Supervising delivery of base building projects, renovations or refurbishments.
  • Develop and implement Sustainability initiatives and best practices.
  • Developing appropriate scopes of works and contract documentation to allow contracts to be tendered.

To be considered for the position, you will have a proven track record in Facilities Management with excellent presentation and communication skills. The successful candidate will also need to display the following qualities;

  • Degree or trade.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a facilities management role in a commercial office building environment.
  • Competent across WHS, QA and ideally environmental legislation and systems.
  • Familiarity with the operation of Building Services (lifts, fire, electrical etc.) and services delivery.
  • High level written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on analysis and strategic planning.
  • Ability in financial, budgeting, forecasting, business planning and contract monitoring.
  • High level in analysis, evaluation and recommendation processes.
  • Well-organised and methodical manner.
  • High level of knowledge in current computer software.
