Our Client
Operating for over 30 years our client came from humble beginnings and is now a thriving multi-divisional business comprising a development, construction and Real Estate arm to their offering.
With over 780 apartments currently available for sale, and an incredibly strong pipeline in final negotiation and DA stage, their growth has created an exciting, long-term opportunity for someone to join their team.
Duties
Based in their onsite office in Sydney’s Western Suburbs, this role will see you working closely with the Director, responsible for:
- Prepare project budget estimates and contract packages including consultant, trade package and construction materials etc.
- Assist the commercial team to carry out the procurement activity, prepare the quantity taking-off, RFQ, pre-tender estimation, analysis of the returned quotation and drafting of the contract
- Manage project variations orders
- Responsible for reviewing the project payment to ensure that it is timely, accurate and reasonable
- Responsible for the preparation of project cost reports and all record keeping
Specific requirements
Strong integrity is at the forefront of the requirements for this role, and you will also have good coordination and communication skills, a strong sense of work responsibility, team spirit, and be result oriented. You will also come with:
- A Degree in QS, Cost Engineering / Cost Management or related majors
- 4+ years of experience in cost estimation, cost control and contract management in commercial projects / residential projects; i.e. familiar with the local construction material and trades market price and labour costs
- Cost engineer/AIQS/RICS qualifications in quantity measurement/cost engineering/cost management is preferred
- Main contractor working experience background is preferred
- Fluent Chinese language skills (essential)
