Marketing & Communications Coordinator

The role is ideally suited to a marketing and communications specialist with exceptional skills across a broad spectrum of marketing functions to help drive a new brand image supported by brand new products and services. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is an all-rounder who can hit their stride running to create and execute an integrated communication and social media strategy that reflects REISA’s exciting future and ultimately drive the engagement of our membership and the extended real estate industry.
Responsible for the strategic communications of REISA as they relate to marketing, social media, events, advertising, website, and public relations.

The Real Estate Institute of South Australia Limited (REISA) is undergoing significant organisational change commencing with structural and governance changes, to be followed by strategic changes as it turns to its membership value proposition. 

This is a key role in a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the CEO and supported by the team, these are some of the key responsibilities of the role. No two days will be alike. Flexibility is paramount as we drive innovation through the organisation.

You will be empowered to achieve:

  • Drive member acquisition, retention and referrals
  • Develop and implement an integrated communication and social media strategy.
  • Coordinate the development and maintenance of the brand Identity through all products and online touch points.
  • Liaise and consult with relevant stakeholders, both internal and external, when preparing content.
  • Demonstrated capacity to effectively utilise various promotional media including audio-visual, web technologies and print to develop and implement successful marketing strategies.
  • Execute fit-for-purpose marketing and media strategies to deliver a consistent and cohesive messaging.
  • Effectively market the services and activities of the Institute to appropriate stakeholders, including the production of a regular newsletter.
  • Lead the execution of corporate events in line with the communications and brand strategy.
  • Develop, manage and update website content, news and media releases.
  • Establish and maintain proactive and effective working relationships with the media, including distribution of media releases and provision of timely and accurate responses to all media enquiries via the CEO.
  • Lead and contribute to the digital infrastructure re-design including the development of the CRM system and database.
  • Communication budget planning and management

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing / Business / Finance, or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • A deep strategic thinker with quick intelligence, someone who confirms the logic and rational behind a task but acts quickly.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing tactics
  • Understanding of and experience in using sound visual and graphic design principles and practices to enhance communications.
  • Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools.
  • Innovative, high on initiative and an ability to challenge the status quo.
  • Content writing experience for all media platforms.
  • Demonstrated events management experience.
  • Annual report management
  • Data analysis, comprehension and financially literate
  • Proven social media and networking expertise.
  • Strategic and creative mindset.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills, including the ability to work on multiple projects and effectively manage competing priorities.
  • Development of communication plans and promotional campaigns
  • Membership program development and management is desirable.
  • Webpage and social media content management experience
  • Effective organisation, time management and customer service skills
  • Real estate experience preferred but not essential.

Remuneration

An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated to reflect skills and experience.
