The role
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Junior Estimator to join our client's team for an immediate star!.
In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of accurate and detailed modular building estimates, servicing both sales and production requirements. Reporting to the estimating manager, they will provide key support to the sales and construction processes, while possessing strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a team environment.
To excel in this new role, you will have a great attitude and a sharp eye for detail, the ability to build strong internal and external relationships, and excellent communication skills. This position offers exciting possibilities for career development.
Key duties
- Produce estimates, scope of works, and other relevant documents for tender/bid submissions and production requirements.
- Comply and maintain knowledge with all H&S policies and procedures.
- Actively contribute to the improvement of the business as part of the Estimating Team.
Skills & experience
- Relevant diploma/degree in construction, engineering, or quantity surveying is desired but not mandatory.
- Experience within the construction industry, in either commercial or residential construction.
- Experience with DataBuild and it is desirable to have experience with CostX
- Proficient with MS Word and Excel
- Excellent communication and conflict management skills.
- Able to read and interpret construction documentation including drawings, contracts and scope of work documents.
