Analyst / Assistant Asset Manager

A fantastic role role working collaboratively with the Asset Manager to ensure key retail assets are actively managed and perform optimally.

Iconic Recruit is delighted to present this exciting opportunity as an Analyst/Assistant Asset Manager.  You will also be involved with Investment Management and in particular with acquisitions of commercial real estate.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Assist with the formulation of asset management strategies and budgets at the portfolio and asset levels to enhance value.
  • Assist with the preparation of the Leasing Strategy, pro-actively monitor leasing activities, review of lease proposals and lease documentation.
  • Assist with the formulation of marketing strategies to optimize visitation, and monitor operating expenditures to ensure efficient and sustainable operations.
  • Monitor asset financials, operational and portfolio performance, loan covenants, perform asset analytics, review variances, recommend initiatives and measures.
  • Instruct, liaise with and coordinate on the regular external valuations of the real properties.
  • Conduct economic and industry relevant research, market intelligence and benchmark operational metrices.
  • Adept in developing and maintain financial analysis, financial modelling, distribution and IRR analyses.
  • Responsible to ensure accuracy and timeliness of business proposals, regular and ad-hoc investor reports and queries.
  • Assist in any aspects of investments transactions including research, deal origination and evaluation, due diligences, transaction management, structuring and closing processes.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Commerce, Economics or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a Real Estate Fund, Commercial Real Estate, Developers, Real Estate Advisory and Consultancy, Financial Institutions or similar.
  • Strong financial modeling, research, quantitative and analytical skills. CFA qualification will be an advantage.
  • Positive attitude, meticulous, diligent, self-motivated, responsive, independent, detailed, results-oriented with good time-management skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively.
  • Flexible and adaptable to change while possessing a sharp and analytical mind, coupled with strong communication and inter-personal skills. A strong command of spoken and written English is essential.
