Acquisitions Manager

Senior Acquisitions role with a well regarded development company. This role will be based in Brisbane Southern Suburbs and interviewing now.

Our client are a boutique developer who seeking a skilled and experienced Acquisitions Manager. Based in the Brisbane Southside this company offers a fantastic culture that is social and friendly and focused on their people.

Key Accountabilities:
Responsibilities of the role will include but not be limited to:

  • Conducting site review and acquisition
  • Managing the day to day work including entitlements, legal documentation, project coordination, tracking, and reporting on applicable project management systems
  • Building and promoting strategic partnerships within the property industry among local developers, landowners, brokers and city council
  • Developing and implementing market-level strategies, reviewing existing site, prospecting new site and give direction and oversight
  • Preparing budgets and estimating the return-on-investment analysis for property investment
  • Compiling market research and analysis for the Managing Director
  • Monitoring and checking development activities

Person Specifications:

  • Be self-driven and proactive
  • Excellent listening skills and customer service focus
  • A willingness to problem solve
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • Have confidence to work autonomously and use initiative when faced with obstacle
  • Have advanced computer skills— in particular, Word, Excel and experience with databases will be highly regarded
  • Excellent phone manner
  • A high level of accuracy & attention to detail

Qualifications, requirements & experience:

  • 5+ years of experience with a property background. Background may have come from within development, consultancy, agency or one of the financiers
  • Knowledge of local land use regulations 
  • Proven property acquisitions experience
